FIC.A – International Science Festival , 12th – 17th October 2021, from Tuesday to Sunday, 10 a.m. – 10 p.m. Marquês de Pombal Palace and Gardens, Oeiras (map). People of all ages. Participation is free of charge, but tickets are limited (Book tickets).
Técnico will take part in the following activities:
• Main tent, located at Oeiras Valley:
o Fusion vehicle (ISR-Lisboa), chemistry computer games (INESC-ID), spintronics demonstrations (INESC-MN), engineering and management projects (CEG-IST), technology (IT) and bioengineering (iBB) experiments, the first Portuguese nanosatellite (IT).
o Prototype exhibition: GameDev Técnico, Técnico Solar Boat, Fórmula Student and TL Moto.
o In the afternoons, the Student Support Unit (NAPE) will provide information about Técnico academic offer and clarify doubts.
• Demonstrations: Hands-on activities – programming, cryptography, welding and biodiversity.
o Rob 9-16 (2nd cycle) – welding and programming activity.
o Cryptography Maker workshop (2nd cycle).
o Learn about animals and plants (1st cycle).
o “Criptomiúdos” (“Criptokids”) – cryptography workshop for families.
• Auditoriums: Lectures and conversations with Técnico professors and researchers – Arlindo Oliveira, Zita Martins, José Tito de Mendonça, Maria do Rosário Partidário, Rui Rocha, Tânia Ramos, Tiago Fernandes, Yasser Omar, Hugo Silva and Filipa Correia.
