The ULisboa RedeMOV Conference “Peer-to-Peer Shared Autonomous Mobility: System Architecture and Impact Assessment for Lisbon” will take place on 11 February 2025, at 5 p.m., in the TTC@ULisboa Auditorium. The conference is part of the  “Conversas à Terça” conference series and will be presented by Ana Rita Martins.

The future of on-demand shared autonomous mobility has mostly centred on business solutions. However, the future may show the current trend in which vehicle ownership is still relevant. The peer-to-peer shared autonomous mobility solution is an opportunity to make greater use of private autonomous vehicles, promoting sustainability in the transport system. Betting on operational policies related to imposing vehicle quotas or empty journey fees, and public policies related to the location of waiting points and the provision of charging and maintenance services, could be essential to guarantee the success of the solution and bring benefits to urban mobility.
