Engineer António Guterres, Técnico alumnus and current Secretary-General of the United Nations, was the laureate of the Universidade de Lisboa Award 2020, which will be delivered on January 5, at 7 p.m., in the Rectorate building.
The 2020 Award recognises António Guterres’ unique contribution to the country and to the rest of the world, which was only possible due to his exceptional human and intellectual qualities.
The aim of the Award is to distinguish and reward individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the progress of Science and/or Culture and to the improvement of Portugal’s image overseas.
