«The Técnico Library (BIST) will host a webinar titled “How to Avoid Plagiarism in Academic Writing”, on 29 January 2025, from 4.30 p.m. to 5.30 p.m., via Zoom.

This training session covers the following topics:

– Discuss the concept of ethics in science management: Copyright, Citation Rights, and Plagiarism;
– Understand the importance of correctly citing and referencing information;
– Identify different citation and bibliographic referencing standards;
– Develop participants’ skills in proper citation and referencing of information sources.

Although primarily aimed at researchers and students, the webinar is open to anyone interested. The webinar will be held in Portuguese.

Participation is free of charge but requires prior registration by filling in the form mentioned above. The Zoom ID will be sent via email to registered participants.»
