On 28th November, the Técnico Congress Centre welcomed the 21 student groups and their projects supported under the scope of CA2ECTécnico – a competition that aims to support extracurricular activities promoted by student groups at Técnico – 2022/2023 edition. Santander Universities, which is part of the Técnico Partner Network, supported projects with a total amount of 20 000€.

The president of Técnico, professor Rogério Colaço, congratulated the winners and thanked Santander for its support, highlighting the partnership between Técnico and the company.

The Vice-President of Técnico for Financial Management, professor Isabel Dias, highlighted the large attendance of students to this competition and the importance of Santander’s support. “This type of initiative allows you to take your ideas, convictions and proposals further”, said the Técnico professor, who also underlined the difficulty in choosing the winners given the excellence of all 73 candidate projects.

According to Dr Susana Galvão, Santander Foundation representative, “this joint initiative allows us to know first-hand what is happening in the day-to-day life of universities”. She recalled that this partnership, which has been going on for several years, “makes us proud and really has an impact on society, as this is also one of Santander’s purposes, helping companies and people to prosper”.

Also present at the ceremony were Leonor Matos, a student member of the Pedagogical Council, who congratulated the winners for their projects and Bernardo Santos, President of AEIST, who highlighted the importance of these initiatives in promoting the entrepreneurial spirit of the Técnico community.
