“This is one of the best moments of the year”, said professor Teresa Peña, President of the Pedagogical Council, at the beginning of the ceremony. “We are very proud to be part of Técnico. You will act as a bridge between the past and the future of the School”.
Professor Rodrigo Rodrigues, President of the Scientific Council stressed “the future of Técnico is in good hands. There has been a high level of scrutiny applied to this process, so I am aware of the calibre of people that we have here today”.
“Técnico places a high value on recruitment and career progression”, said the President of Técnico, professor Rogério Colaço, who also spoke about the pandemic, curriculum restructuring, financial constraints and the Career Development Plan that provides for an increase in the number of tendering procedures.
Professors from several departments – Department of Civil Engineering, Architecture and Georesources (DECivil), Department of Bioengineering (DBE), Department of Computer Science and Engineering (DEI), Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (DEEC), Department of Engineering and Management (DEG), Department of Mechanical Engineering (DEM), Department of Chemical Engineering (DEQ), Department of Physics (DF) and Department of Mathematics (DM) – attended the ceremony and signed their contracts.
