The Técnico Innovation Center Powered by Fidelidade is about to open in the former Gare do Arco do Cego, with a 24-hour study room for students, a multipurpose space and a restaurant area. The space will connect Instituto Superior Técnico to the city and its citizens, taking knowledge and innovation beyond the school’s walls.

The foundation stone was laid on 18th October 2022, but the idea had been around for quite some time, as Rogério Campos Henriques, Chief Executive Officer at Fidelidade, told us. “We were delighted that Técnico has challenged us to be part of this project. We realised, right from the start, that the Técnico Innovation Center was a far-reaching project with high impact and, obviously, we wanted to be involved. Our company and Técnico share the same values, and we are more than partners, we are friends. Before signing the protocol between Fidelidade and the Association for Research and Development of Instituto Superior Técnico, Rogério Campos Henriques stressed “the real work begins now, creating value for students and society”.

“This partnership is a paradigm of what can be done,” said the president of Instituto Superior Técnico, Rogério Colaço. “We can only do more and give back to our community and society if we partner with companies and other institutions”

The Técnico and Fidelidade representatives visited the ongoing construction site where the Técnico Innovation Center Powered by Fidelidade will be built.
