The Civil Engineering Museum, at Alameda Campus, hosted the Axians Scholarships award ceremony (edition 2022/2023) on 28th February. The awarded students of the first edition of Axians Scholarships were Carmen Reis (Telecommunications and Informatics Engineering), Gonçalo Loureiro (Telecommunications and Informatics Engineering), Juan Lopez (Electrical and Computer Engineering), Nelma Andrade (Telecommunications and Informatics Engineering) and Sandro Furtado (Telecommunications and Informatics Engineering).
The students thanked Axians for the scholarship. Nelma Andrade pointed out “this scholarship will allow me to carry out my studies without worries”. “The scholarship will allow me to focus more on my studies”, stressed Carmen Reis.
Carla Madeira and Marco Teixeira, Business Unit Managers at Tech Talent, Axians, shared “we are motivated by the idea of giving back to society”. This partnership aims to build closer links between business and academia.
The event was chaired by professor Alexandre Francisco, Vice-President of Técnico for Academic Affairs, who congratulated the awarded students.
The Técnico students (1st and 2nd cycle) enrolled in Electronics Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering and Telecommunications and Informatics Engineering are eligible to apply for this scholarship.
