This Tuesday, March 20, hundreds of students attended an information session on Técnico Summer Internships, organised by the Technology Transfer Office (TT@Técnico). Técnico students want to improve their curriculum by attending the summer internships offered by a wide range of companies.

“We created this initiative because we want you to make informed choices when you enter the job market,” said Carla Patrocínio, coordinator of TT @ Técnico. The applications deadline, the success from previous years, the use of Técnico Job Bank platform as a searching tool, the procedures related to application forms and the selection process, were some of the topics addressed during the session. “Last year, more than 300 summer internships were offered by 121 companies”, said Carla Patrocínio. “Técnico Job Bank is your best ally in all this process and it’s available for students from 2nd to 5th year”, she clarified.

Some of the opportunities offered by these internships were also mentioned: “expanding knowledge”, “networking”, “planning for a successful future” and “enjoying the first professional experience”.

This activity is part of Career Discovery@Técnico programme, which aims to help students entering the job market and discovering the career options.
