IPFN is another strong finalist of Innovation Radar Prize 2019

The Research Unit at Técnico is finalist and will compete in 'Women-led innovations' category.

The Institute for Plasmas and Nuclear Fusion (IPFN) is among the finalists in ‘Women-led innovations’ category of the Innovation Radar Prize 2019. The researcher Elena Tatarova leads the IPFN project called PEGASUS – Plasma Enabled and Graphene Allowed Synthesis of Unique nanoStructures.

The project is developed by six partners, from 5 countries: Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (France), Institut Jozef Stefan (Slovenia), Kiel University (Germany), Sofia University (Bulgaria) and Charge2C-Newcap Lda (Portugal).

Public voting is open until 26th August. Three projects will be selected and the winning teams will present a pitch before a jury at the Innovative Europe Hub event, which is part of “European Research and Innovation Days”, to be held in Brussels 25-26 September. The public can vote for one or more nominee.
