Isabel Vaz was considered one of Portugal’s most influential women by the digital magazine “Executiva”. In the four previous editions, the Técnico alumna’s name featured in the list of the most influential women in Portugal, due to her outstanding performance at Grupo Luz Saúde leadership over the last 20 years.

Her solid career and her inspiring leadership at Grupo Luz Saúde, make Isabel Vaz one of Portugal’s most influential women. “She is an icon for the Portuguese executive women. She created Luz Saúde almost from scratch with a team of only 4 people. Nowadays Grupo Luz Saúde has 9,000 employees”, as outlined in the winners list.

The list of 25 award winners is the result of a study made by the journalist Filipe S. Fernandes to magazine “Executiva”. The assessment was based on 5 criteria: career (professional CV), image (presence on national and international media), contact network (peers recognition), power (social, professional, political and entrepreneurial impact on society) and fortune (financial resources). This award aims to inspire other women to pursue successful careers in different areas. The award ceremony took place on 16th May at Palácio Foz, Lisbon.

In 2018, Isabel Vaz was the winner of Maria de Lourdes Pintasilgo Award in the “Role Model” category.
