The 34th edition of the Jobshop took place on May 25th, 26th and 27th. There were three days filled with Talks, Pitch Rooms and Networking Sessions, that occupied the Noble Hall at diferent moments. Outside Técnico, in front of the façade of the Central Building, there was a Job Fair, with the presence of 88 companies distributed in a tent, ready to disclose the existing opportunities to the students of Técnico.
According to Mariana Candeias, the employment and entrepreneurship manager of the Técnico Students Union (AEIST), this “is one of the largest and oldest university employment fairs in the country” whose objective is to serve as a link between companies and students in the most diverse areas of training.
“We’re betting a lot on networking, but it’s going to be more informal,” she says. When asked about the differences between these editions and the previous ones, Mariana Candeias says that they decided to try to “structure the space a little bit. The networking will be here in the tent” and the Talks, lectures, Pitch Rooms and closer contacts will take place in the Noble Hall.
“In the Pitch Room we are having a lot of registrations”, Mariana Candeias guarantees. This is a format in which eleven companies are signed up at a time and then run from table to table. As for the support, “the finalists are the ones who have the most interest in coming”, more than enough reasons to invest in these events since, according to the coordinator of employment and entrepreneurship of AEIST, “the students of Técnico will have a great impact in the future”.
