This Friday, October 1, Kearney and Instituto Superior Técnico renewed the successful partnership established in 2018. The signing ceremony took place before the delivery of the Kearney Class Excellence Award, which resulted from this partnership, and whose aim is to reward the merit of Técnico students.

“Técnico has high regard for its business and industrial partners”, said the president of Técnico, professor Rogério Colaço, who also considers that the link between university and business must be improved. “This cannot be done if we are locked in a bubble. The universities must be in permanent contact with society and companies”, he added. The president of Técnico took the opportunity to announce that the ceremony of laying the foundation stone of Técnico Innovation Center will take place soon. “The Técnico Innovation Center will showcase the work of our research centers and units, and the work carried out with our partners. Kearney has actively support us in this long-term strategy”, he highlighted.

According to the president of Kearney, engineer Pedro Rezende, “our idea is to strengthen this relationship with Técnico, create more opportunities for students, improve the recruitment process of Técnico engineers. It is with great pride that we support and help you to maximize your value creation and to bring you closer to companies”, he said.

The president of Kearney highlighted the company’s long tradition in hiring Técnico graduates and the quality of training at Técnico, which is recognized in Portugal and abroad. “We have several Técnico graduates, who are very good professionals, working in our international offices. Técnico is highly reputed”.
