New students 2024/25: First steps, registration and welcome week

The registration process for the new Técnico students takes place online from August 26. The welcome activities take place from 2 to 6 September.

The registration process for the new Técnico students takes place online from August 26 followed by the welcome activities, which take place during the Welcome Week, from 2 to 6 September.

Registration and Sign in:

The registration process will take place online, from 9 a.m. on the first day to 5 p.m. on the last day, as follows:

  • Undergraduate Programmes (National Call): from 26 to 29 August (1st Call), from 16 to 18 September (2nd Call) and from 30 September to 2 October (3rd Call)
  • Undergraduate Programmes (Students Aged over 23): from 26 to 30 August
  • Undergraduate Programmes (Holders of Middle Level/Higher Education Courses): from 2 to 6 September
  • Undergraduate Programmes (Students Changing Course/Institution): from 3 to 11 September
  • Master’s Programmes: from 2 to 6 September (1st and 2nd Call) and from 18 to 20 September (3rd Call)
  • Undergraduate and Master’s Programmes (International Students): from 2 to 6 September
  • Mobility Students (incoming): students must carry out the registration process as indicated by the Mobility and International Cooperation Office, according to each mobility programme.

Students admitted through the National Call must sign into the Connect platform and validate their identity, preferably using the Digital Mobile Key associated with the Citizen’s Card, so that the registration can be done more simply and autonomously. The Digital Mobile Key can be requested at the Autenticação.Gov portal.

Welcome Week

During the Welcome Week, which takes place from 2 to 6 September, the new students will visit the campi and will be welcomed by the Técnico community: Mentors, Course Coordinators, Students’ Union, Students’ Organisations, Tutors and the Governing Bodies.

During this week and also on the weekend (9 and 10 September), the new students will have the opportunity to participate in several cultural activities to get to know the city of Lisbon and their future colleagues.

The welcome activities for students admitted through the 2nd Call take place from 16 to 18 September. For students admitted through the 3rd Call the welcome activities will be carried together with the Técnico Student Support Unit.
