Former and current students of Técnico met for the kick-off of a new edition of the Alumni Mentoring Program, on October 19, at Alameda Campus, Congress Center.
145 mentors matched with 145 mentees, according to the study programmes and professional interests. For the first time, eight PhD students are part of the group of mentors.
The relationship dynamics will be established, on a case-by-case basis, between the actors involved, with the Organisation calling for the commitment of both parties.
The mentor Miguel Guedes shared his “positive” experience and that he continues to keep in touch with students from previous editions. The Técnico student Lourenço Duarte, a mentee for the third consecutive year, explained the different forms of contact of a mentor-mentee relationship – telephone, e-mail, face-to-face – as well as their frequency, without prejudice to the quality of the mentoring.
