Técnico participated in the 20th Universeum Annual Meeting (European University Heritage Network), held from 18th to 21st June 2019, hosted by the Mendel Museum of Masaryk University in Brno, Czech Republic.
Técnico museums participated in this meeting for first time this year. Carlos Fernandes, director of Faraday Museum and Natália Rocha, responsible for the Education Service of Técnico Museums, presented a poster on the topic “Técnico Museums – Connecting science, connecting people” (abstract, page 33).
The main topic of the 2019 Universeum Conference was “University Museums & collections as Networks for Understanding the World: shaping narratives of knowledge for the past, present, future”.
