Bárbara Tavares holds a MSc degree in Data Science and Engineering from Técnico and won second place at Fraunhofer Portugal Challenge 2022 for her master’s dissertation «A Cluster-Based Trip Prediction Graph Neural Network – Model for Bike Sharing Systems», completed in 2021. The work was supervised by professor Cláudia Soares and co-supervised by professor Manuel Marques.

The Fraunhofer Portugal Challenge rewards «innovative, technology-based proposals that contribute to a sustainable future», resulting from final MSc or PhD thesis/work conducted in Portuguese universities, says the organisation in a statement.
