The 50 Técnico students enrolled in the Technology-Based Entrepreneurship curricular unit will develop business models for six technology companies located at Lispolis Science and Technology Park over the course of the semester.
On 28 February, ‘the founders and representatives of the companies visited Instituto Superior Técnico to present various topics and challenges’ to the Technology Based Entrepreneurship students, explained Miguel Amaral and Diogo Gonçalves, the professors responsible for the curricular unit and supervising the students’ projects.
This initiative aims to ‘bring together’ the students and the Portuguese business community, ‘contributing to their development and offering a more challenging learning experience closer to the real world’ for the students.
The companies involved are: IDMind (robotics applied to the health sector), LogisticsWMS (logistics software for small and medium-sized companies), REPETE (packaging that reduces food waste from takeaway meals), SEA.AI (cameras with artificial intelligence systems that increase maritime safety), Virtuleap (application of cognitive exercises that improve mental performance) and Wrightia (data architecture platform that allows its integrated management in companies).
The Technology-Based Entrepreneurship curricular unit is part of the Master’s Programme in Engineering and Management of Innovation and Entrepreneurship and the minors in General Studies and Innovation Entrepreneurship.
