Representatives from seven companies that are part of Técnico Partner Network met informally with members of the Governing Board to discuss projects and ideas.
Marcos Ribeiro (Santander Universities), José João Guilherme and José Afonso Serra (Caixa Geral de Depósitos), Luís Cardoso Botelho (BPI), João Araújo (Thales Portugal S.A), Nelson Teodoro, Miguel Leocádio and Carmo Palma (Novabase), Diogo da Silveira and João Paulo Oliveira (The Navigator Company), and also Diogo Almeida Pinheiro (Mckinsey) attend this meeting. The president of Técnico, professor Arlindo Oliveira, challenged the companies to receive PhD graduates when they leave university and reiterated one of the concerns of higher education institutions, which refers to a new mechanism to recruit PhDs. After discussing several strategies all parties decided to launch a joint initiative in this regard.
The president of Técnico also shared the ambition of the Governing Board to invest and renew Técnico infrastructures.
