Three Técnico student teams win Lisbon University Championships

Técnico students won three cups at the Lisbon University Championships (CUL), held from 5 to 14 March at the Lisbon University Stadium. The men’s 11-a-side football and basketball teams and the women’s futsal team from the Técnico Students’ Union won the final stage of the CUL and have qualified for the Final Stages of the National University Championships, which will take place in Coimbra from 7 to 18 April where the top teams in five team sports will compete.
The men’s 11-a-side football team will be defending the title won last season, while the women’s futsal team will be striving to regain the title missed out last season after previously winning three championships in a row (2022/2023, 2021/2022 and 2020/2021). Additionally, the men’s basketball team will try to repeat or improve upon the bronze medal they secured last year.
