Doctoral Programmes 2026/2027: Técnico announces a call for applications until 19 July

The first call for applications and evaluation for the Doctoral Programmes (3rd cycle) at Instituto Superior Técnico, Universidade de Lisboa, runs until 19 July 2026.

The doctoral programmes are offered in collaboration with national and international universities, with the option to earn a double degree. The Técnico Doctoral School actively participates in both national and international research projects, offers internships with companies, and provides training in transferable skills such as artificial intelligence, entrepreneurship and science communication. Furthermore, students have the opportunity to begin their doctoral studies through the PhD Fast Track programme while still completing their master’s programme.

Applications are accepted year-round and must be submitted exclusively online. However, they will only be reviewed during the defined application periods. The first call for applications runs from 15 June to 19 July 2026. The second call takes place from 30 November 2026 to 10 January 2027. Applications must be submitted on the Connect platform.
