Applications for the Professor Jaime Campos Ferreira Award – 2022 edition, are open until 15th September 2022, at 5 p.m.
In 2002, the Department of Mathematics at Instituto Superior Técnico (DMIST) established the “Professor Jaime Campos Ferreira Award”, in honour of professor Jaime Campos Ferreira, Emeritus Professor at Instituto Superior Técnico, who contributed decisively to the creation and development of the DMIST and stimulated students’ interest in learning Mathematics. The award aims to recognise the academic merit of Técnico students in Mathematics.
The jury is composed of professors Cristina Sernadas (President), João Pimentel Nunes, Leonor Godinho, Pedro Girão and Conceição Amado.
This year, up to 4 awards will be delivered, each one consisting of a diploma and €1,000.
Técnico students enrolled in 2nd cycle are eligible to apply for the award. Applications may be submitted by the students themselves or by a Técnico professor, as set out in the award regulations, by filling the application form (to be delivered in the DMIST secretariat, for the attention of Margarida Carvalho).
