This course aims to introduce Design Thinking in the identification and resolution of critical Engineering problems and issues. The course is divided into three modules in which the basic concepts of Innovation and Design Thinking are presented, starting with an approach to the subject from an engineering point of view, followed by experimentation of the methodology in the elaboration of a practical case and ending with a framing of Design Thinking and its tools in the context of companies.
Design Thinking is a methodology of growing application in innovation strategies around the world. Following international trends, in Portugal there has been a growing interest and the number of companies applying this methodology in their change and innovation processes has been increasing.
The Specialisation Course in Design Thinking Innovation is part of the Specialisation Programme in Engineering and Management as an optional module and this edition will be taught remotely, through Live Sessions via Zoom.
