Two teams from Técnico participated this Saturday at MIUP 2016 – Inter- University Marathon on Programming. The two teams ranked 2nd and 5th, winning silver and bronze medals.
Six students from Técnico participated in this marathon, which was organised by Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia, Universidade Nova de Lisboa. AncelISTas1911 team was composed of Manuel Sousa, student of Information Systems and Computer Engineering (Taguspark), Afonso Santos, student of Aerospace Engineering, and Miguel Duarte, student of Information Systems and Computer Engineering (Alameda).
The Diversitas team was composed of Rodrigo Serrão, student of Applied Mathematics and Computation, Rafael Correia, student of Biomedical Engineering, and João Antunes, student of Physics Engineering.
Programming languages C,C++ and Java are allowed to solve the proposed problems. The marathon will prepare the participants for the Southwestern European Regional Programming Contest (SWERC) 2016, which will be held in November, at Faculdade de Ciências, Universidade do Porto.
