ULisboa announces online student workshops

Registration open until 30th March.

ULisboa – Universidade de Lisboa, in partnership with professors from the Faculty of Psychology and the Institute of Education, announces 5 online workshops aimed at ULisboa students.

Registrations are open from 23rd to 30th March 2021 and have an associated cost of €10 (ten euros).

 

  • Study Methods: organisation, planning and strategies
  • Goals: Time management; strategies to manage internal and external distractions; strategies for optimizing study periods.
  • Target group: 1st cycle students – Universidade de Lisboa
  • Date: 6th April | 15:00 – 18:00
  • Work planning and personal organisation: Time management and self-regulation for managing exam anxiety assessment
  • Goals: Myths, personal variables and behaviours associated with time management problems; planning strategies and personal organisation in time management. Exam anxiety assessment – explanatory factors, resources and strategies for managing exam anxiety assessment.
  • Target group: 2nd cycle dstudents – Universidade de Lisboa
  • Date: 6th April | 10:00 – 13:00
  • Working methods: strategic planning, execution and self-reflection on the writing process
  • Goals: Reflect on the topic and the problem under investigation, as well as the research questions and their contributions to science. Identify the variables under study, how will data be collected, organised and analysed. Identify the skills and resources needed to develop this process. Reflect on ways to interpret the data results and their practical implications. Planning, monitoring and self-reflection on the writing process.

  • Workshop Appreciating Art… Appreciating Life – Psychological Strategies to Improve a Positive Experience
  • Goals: The workshop will improve student skills through the arts and will teach how art appreciation can help them as students, as well as in their lives, contributing to their academic success.
  • Target group: ULisboa students
  • Duration: 4 hours | 2 sessions (2-hr session)
  • Date: 17th and 18th May | 17:00 – 19:00
  • Research software support
  • Goals: The PhD research involves several processes and moments that can benefit from the use of research software support, namely bibliographic management software and literature review process, as well as treatment and analysis of qualitative data.
  • Training structure:
    • Develop skills to use reference management software;
    • Develop skills to use NVivo software, such as support for literature review and transcription of audios and videos;
    • Develop skills to analyse, interpret and present qualitative data using NVivo software.
  • Targe group: 3rd cycle students – Universidade de Lisboa
  • Duration: 8 hours | 4 sessions (2-hr session)
  • Dates: 12th, 15th, 19th and 22nd April | 17:30 – 19:30
