Universidade de Lisboa (ULisboa), which includes Instituto Superior Técnico, is the top Portuguese institution in Engineering according to the National Taiwan University Ranking (NTU), published at the beginning of September.

In the same field, ULisboa also ranked among the top 25 European universities, out of 170, to which Técnico’s scientific production has largely contributed.

In more specific areas, we highlight the results obtained in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Civil Engineering, which are scientific fields exclusively or almost exclusively taught at Técnico, where ULisboa ranks as the national leader.  In the field of Civil Engineering, ULisboa ranks 5th at the European level.

This ranking evaluates universities based on their research and scientific production, focusing on criteria such as volume of scientific production, impact, and quality/excellence.
