«The 8th Bioengineering Week (SBE) at Instituto Superior Técnico (IST) is an event organised by several Técnico academic programmes: Biological Engineering, Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical Engineering, Bioengineering: Regenerative and Precision Medicine, and Bioengineering and Nanosystems. This edition will include lectures, workshops, pitch sessions, alumni sessions and field trips, as well as a job fair and a debate.

This year’s edition will include a debate on Genetic Manipulation and the participation of several companies, such as Accenture, CMC Biomassa, Deloitte, J Pereira Cruz, INESC TEC Porto and CUF, in the pitch sessions. Additionally, the SBE has organised two field trips to Algae for Future (A4F) and Laboratórios de Estudos Farmacêuticos (LEF).»

The lectures, debate, job fair and pitch sessions do not require prior registration.

Regarding the workshops and alumni sessions, registrations must be done through the “SBE Semana da Bioengenharia” app, which will be launched later.
