The public ceremony of the Maria de Lourdes Pintasilgo Award (9th Edition) will take place on 3 December, at 6 p.m., in the Great Hall, at Técnico – Alameda campus.
Técnico created this award in 2016 to promote gender equality and to recognise the crucial role of women in engineering areas. The award is also a way of honouring Maria de Lourdes Pintasilgo’s outstanding contribution as an engineer, alumna and national leader with a decisive role and impact on Portuguese society.
The jury of this year’s edition was made up of Alexandre Bernardino, Ana Teresa Freitas, Beatriz Silva, Carla Pepe Lewark, Cristina Sernadas, João Ramôa Correia, Miguel Cacho Teixeira, Pedro Brogueira, Raquel Aires de Barros, and Rogério Colaço.
The Award has the high patronage of his excellency the President of the Portuguese Republic, Professor Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa.
