The CGD awards ceremony for student groups took place this Wednesday at Alameda campus.
The ceremony was attended by professor Arlindo Oliveira, president of Técnico, who mentioned the “long-standing relationship” with CGD and the “importance of such projects”.
Dr Adélia Rodrigues, from CGD, highlighted the “projects with impact on society and academic community” and that “CGD intends to contribute to excellence in education”, by “giving this award”. Rodrigo do Ó, president of AEIST, gave particular attention to the “skills and knowledge acquired at Técnico”, saying that “it’s very good that we get the recognition we deserve”.
The awarded projects in this edition were:
Project FST Novabase – development of an electric motor allowing a four-wheel drive;
Técnico Solar Boat – design and construction of a boat powered by solar energy;
TL Moto – construction of a 100% electric motorcycles ;
Núcleo de Estudantes de Física (NFIST) – development of the project “Física sobre Rodas”, aiming to scientific dissemination, including activities such as Circo da Física, workshops, lectures, planetarium shows and astronomical observations.
