Deloitte joined Técnico Partner Network this Tuesday, November 19th. The signing ceremony was attended by the president of Técnico, professor Arlindo Oliveira, the Talent Partner at Deloitte, Gonçalo Simões, and the vice-president of Técnico for Financial Management and Board member of ADIST, professor Luís Castro.
Professor Arlindo Oliveira highlighted that Deloitte is the 15th company that joins Técnico Partner Network and that it’s very positive that companies and universities forge long-term collaborations. ”We cannot have world-class teaching and research without raising private funding”, he stressed. “We know that the main reason why we are establishing this partnership is the quality of our graduates and students”, he added.
“This is not a purely administrative act . This is an important moment for us because it involves both parties and a common goal. Our relationship with Técnico is also very important because we are fully committed to further invest in tech areas”, said Gonçalo Simões. Técnico is one of Deloitte’s main sources of recruitment. “We want to provide universities with more technological means, to recognise academic merit and to help creating new skills”, said Gonçalo Simões.
