Técnico has started the welcome week celebrations. The COVID-19 pandemic requires the definition of some procedures, extra care and equipment. Nevertheless, the Técnico mentors welcomed master’s degrees students, students who have changed course/school, international students and mobility students, who have pre-scheduled their visit in order to complete their enrollment process and get familiar with the campus.
Students have their temperatures taken when entering Alameda campus, then Técnico mentors divide the students into small groups and give information about the school and courses. The campus tour finishes near AEIST where students have the opportunity to visit the exhibition stands of Técnico student groups.
Sofia Andrezo entered the M.S. in Biotechnology after completing his degree at the Faculty of Sciences. She really wanted to get this master’s degree and after looking to the course structure, she chose Técnico. “Técnico is the best school and the course is very good”, she says. “It is very good to be able to visit the school and be part of these activities, despite all the limitations”, she added.
Tiago Moita comes from Porto and entered the M.S. in Information Systems and Computer Engineering. He heard about Técnico being a demanding school and that doesn’t scare him at all, but rather, on the contrary, he is very enthusiastic and eager to learn. “I think Técnico is the best school. I have high expectations” says the new student.
Clara Mizinski landed this Wednesday in Lisbon to study Biomedical engineering. She wanted to study in Lisbon and after some research she “discovered” Técnico. “The campus is big and have great facilities; it’s very different from what I am used to. I am very happy to be here”, she said.
The online welcome ceremonies will take place this Friday, September 18th, where students will have the opportunity to learn more about the courses and faculty.
