Nine Best Practices at Técnico were recognised and certified

The 1st ObservIST meeting brought together representatives from the different thematic areas.

The ObservIST organised a meeting open to all IST community last Friday, June 30, where nine best practices were disclosed and certified.

The meeting was attended by members of the executive board, namely professor Arlindo Oliveira, president of Técnico, who highlighted the importance of this meeting: “this is a way of knowing and recognising the existing best practices that create value for the whole community”, he noted. “This is a very important project for Técnico”, said the professor Fátima Montemor, chair of the Quality Mangement Board.

MOOC Técnico, D-Dei, the use of Kahoot in class, LEIC- Bootcamp and the project “Master’s dissertation – Do you take the challenge?” were distinguished in Higher Education thematic area. The management practices at AEP was the best practice recognised within Processes and Quality thematic area.

The projects distinguished in the area of internationalisation were: ATHENS Programme – Cultural Activities and the International Exchange Workshop on Architecture. The Management Information System implemented in FenixEdu for the research units was distinguished within Information Technologies. The IST programme Shaping the Future was recognised as a best practice in the field of Human Capital.

In order to foster the sharing of ideas each project was explained in detail by the promoters and then discussed with the audience.
