Eight professors and researchers from Técnico were awarded the prize “Prémios Científicos Universidade de Lisboa/Caixa Geral de Depósitos”, during the ceremony commemorating the 3rd anniversary of Universidade de Lisboa.

According to ULisboa, this prize aims “to reward scientific research activity and to stimulate the publication of research work in prestigious international journals”.

Ana Póvoa (Economics and Management), Vítor Cardoso (Physics and Materials), Hugo Tavares (Pure and Applied Mathematics) and Francisco C. Santos (Computer Science, Computer Engineering) were awarded the prize “Prémios Científicos Universidade de Lisboa/Caixa Geral de Depósitos”.

Carla Carvalho (Biology, Biological Engineering, Biochemistry and Biotechnology), José Nuno Canongia Lopes (Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Engineering), Jorge Ferreira Vieira (Physics and Materials) and Sara Madeira (Computer Science, Computer Engineering) received honourable mentions.
