PSEM – “Projeto de Sustentabilidade Energética Móvel” ranked 2nd at East Fortune B Heat, held in Scotland.

Although the competition did not start well due to an electrical problem, the team overcame adversities and managed to rank in the top3, also setting the fastest lap time in the history of Greenpower competition.

“Standing on the podium has always been our goal and we finally we have succeeded in this. This is the result of a joint work, which includes our predecessors” shares Francisco Oliveira, team member. “This is an honour for us and a way to honour our former colleagues and sponsors”, he adds.

The team confesses that this achievement “has definitely raised morale”, and reflects the effort and the work done throughout the season “to ensure that the prototype was perfect for each race”, says Francisco Oliveira. This particular victory “was extremely motivating and showed what we can achieve once again with GP17 [prototype] and, in the future, with GP19”, stresses the student.

Before returning to Técnico, the team still have to face a qualifying round and then the international final competition. According to Francisco Oliveira “ranking among the top 10 is possible”, but he confesses that the team “wants to score higher”.
