Forbes recognizes Talkdesk on Cloud 100 for second consecutive year, moving up 13 spots to #53 in 2020. Talkdesk was created by two Técnico alumni, Tiago Paiva and Cristina Fonseca, and is part of IST Spin-off Community.

This is the third time that the Portuguese unicorn is on the Forbes list, which lists the 100 cloud computing’s best private companies. The selection process involves the classification of companies based on market leadership (35%), estimated valuation (30%), operational metrics (20%), people and culture (15%).

Talkdesk recently announced $143 million in Series C funding, which brings Talkdesk valuation to more than $3 billion (about € 2.53 billion).
