Tiago Paiva, Técnico alumnus and co-founder of Talkdesk, is among the list of Top 50 SaaS CEOs of 2018 published by the SaaS Report. Nearly 5,000 nominations were received and the CEOs were selected largely based on the detailed reviews from their employees and industry colleagues. CEOs were assessed across a number of key areas including integrity, intelligence, energy, company culture and company growth.

Created in 2011 by Tiago Paiva and Cristina Fonseca, also a Técnico alumna, Talkdesk has over 1400 clients such as IBM, Accenture and Dropbox. The Portuguese startup has more than 300 employees and offices in Lisbon, Porto, San Francisco and Salt Lake City. Wired UK highlighted Talkdesk as one of the Top 100 European companies and more recently, in August 2018, Talkdesk was recognised by Frost & Sullivan as the fastest-growing provider in the cloud contact center software market.
