Técnico ranks once again in the top-3 universities with the highest admission average

Aerospace Engineering and Physics Engineering had once again the highest admission grades of the last student admitted at national level.

For the second consecutive year, Aerospace Engineering and Physics Engineering at Técnico had the highest admission average at national level. According to DGES (Direção Geral de Ensino Superior), engineering at Técnico is still the first choice of the best students: Aerospace Engineering and Physics Engineering had a 18.80 and 18.75 average admission grades respectively, overcoming last year’s results.

Two other Técnico courses ranked in national top-10: Applied Mathematics and Computation (18.13) and Biomedical Engineering (18.10).

Engineering ranked higher than Medicine for the second consecutive year. The Faculty of Medicine – University of Porto ranked 4th (18.33) in the global list and 1st among the faculties of medicine. Industrial Engineering and Management – University of Porto ranked 3rd with a 18.43 average admission grade.

1484 students were admitted at Técnico and all the available vacancies were filled during the first phase of access to higher education.
