“Técnico is a source of talent”

According to the Principal at BCG group, which is partner of Técnico within the Academic Merit Award Best in Class BCG, “Técnico is a source of talent”.

The Academic Merit Award “Best in Class BCG” was awarded to Francisco Horta da Silva, student of Integrated Master in Engineering Physics. The ceremony took place on March 3, and distinguished the best student of Management curricular unit at Técnico, in the academic year 2015/2016.

This partnership between Técnico and the Boston Consulting Group (BCG) aims to “recognise the merit and quality of our students”, but also “to stimulate learning in the field of Maganement”, said professor Arlindo Oliveira, president of Instituto Superior Técnico.

Professor João Oliveira Soares, responsible for the curricular unit, highlighted the importance of this initiative “that stimulates students” and thanked BCG for being “a partner that stimulates learning and every year recruits several of our students”. Engineer José Ferreira, Principal at BCG, thanked the kind words and ensured that “Técnico is a source of talent” for BCG group.

Francisco Horta da Silva was visibly happy after receiving the award and underlined the importance of such initiatives, so that “the management curricular unit can be taken more seriously”.

During the ceremony engineer José Ferreira gave a lecture, highlighting the importance and the impact of artificial intelligence in the market and in consumers’ everyday lives.
