Professor José Santos-Victor, Head of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (DEEC) and President of the Institute for Systems and Robotics (ISR-Lisboa), has been elevated to Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), at the IEEE Board of Directors meeting, held this November, and comes into effect on 1st January 2023.

According to information released by the institution, the Técnico professor has been elevated to IEEE Fellow “for contributions to biologically-inspired cognitive vision and humanoid robotic systems”.
