Técnico welcomes about 100 students in the 2nd phase

All course vacancies were filled.

All course vacancies were filled at Técnico in the 2nd phase of access to public higher education. According to the results released this Thursday, September 26th, by DGES, 98 students entered Técnico. Electrical and Computer Engineering (14), Industrial Engineering and Management (12) and Civil Engineering were the courses with more students enrolled. Aerospace Engineering and Physics Engineering had both two vacancies that were filled.

Two Técnico courses – Aerospace Engineering and Physics Engineering – set their minimum admission grade above 19, exceeding 1st phase fantastic results. The grade of the last student admitted in Aerospace Engineering was 19.45 (out of 20). The minimum admission grade (2nd phase) of Physics Engineering was 19.43. These two engineering courses rank in the Top3, in 2nd and 3rd places respectively. Industrial Engineering (19,58) at the University of Porto ranks 1st.

Enrollment will take place from 26th to 30th September.

In total, 564 students applied for Técnico in the 2nd phase, of which 369 were placed in their 1st course choice (48%). Técnico welcomed 1572 students in the 1st and 2nd phases of access to public higher education.

This year, 46.721 new students entered higher education in Portugal.
