Incredible audience for the opening session at the III Bioengineering Week anticipated a great success. Professor Arlindo Oliveira, president of Técnico, professor Joaquim Sampaio Cabral, president of the Department of Bioengineering and engineer António Silva, representative of Ordem dos Engenheiros, attended the opening session.

The president of Técnico highlighted “the quality of the events organised by students”, which “contribute to promote the image of Técnico”. “Learn, enjoy and use the opportunities to complement your training”, he advised.

From 6th to 10th March, national and international researchers will give a set of lectures on bioengineering topics.

Bioengineering week will also include a set of workshops, some of them already sold out, as was the case of Ana Gerschenfeld’ workshop, which was focused on the strategies for communicating science.

This year’s event expects to gather 700 participants, like last year. One of the most expected moments is the alumni sharing experiences, which will take place every afternoon during the week.
