This Monday, December 20, NOS joined the Técnico Partner Network.
“Técnico attracts the best talent of our country, and beyond. The number of international students has been growing significantly in recent years and we try to provide these with the best training. Therefore, we have to work hand in hand with the business sector, with those who create value, who need knowledge and talent”, said the president of Técnico, professor Rogério Colaço. “I am sure that this partnership will be very important for both parties”, he added.
Engineer Miguel Almeida, CEO at NOS, stressed “our willingness to improve relations with Técnico came very naturally. Our company has always invested heavily in Research and Technological Development, perhaps even more heavily in recent years”. “Técnico is a leading school of Engineering, Science and Technology, and develops remarkable Research and Development activities”.
With this partnership, NOS aims “to stimulate these activities” and “to strengthen the existing bridges between Técnico and industry sector, in this case, the telecommunications sector, which is very important for the technological and economic growth of Portugal”, said engineer Miguel Almeida.
Dr. Jorge Graça, CTO at NOS, highlighted the importance of joining the Técnico Partner Network. “We need human talent in order to achieve our goals”. “We have in mind several projects to be carried out under this partnership”, he added.
