Instituto de Plasmas e Fusão Nuclear (IPFN) received five pre-university students from 5-8 July within the program “Ciência Viva no Laboratório”. As in previous years, a wide range of contents within physics and technology was explored, creating a diverse and interesting program.
The different activities consisted in talks, laboratory visits, experiments and workshops in the different research areas of nuclear fusion in IPFN. The students had the opportunity to learn about plasma and nuclear fusion, watching several discharges and data analyses on ISTTOK Tokamak, modelling and printing in 3D, handling a robot remotely, and so on.
