The Técnico Student Groups met this Monday, October 21st, for the first time this academic year. This meeting is held twice a year and aims to align strategies, promote transparency, meet the new student groups and take stock of activities carried out throughout the year. This 11th edition brought together 42 student groups.
“These meetings have already their own dynamics” said professor Luís Caldas de Oliveira, Vice-president of IST for Entrepreneurship and Corporate Relations, stressing the main role of Técnico student groups. Carla Patrocínio, Coordinator of the Technology Transfer Office (TT @ Técnico), Francisca Simões, Student Vice-president of Pedagogic Council (CP), Inês Mendes, Vice-president of AEIST, Bruno Silva, representative of Student Support Unit (NAPE), Diogo Henriques, representative of Técnico Innovation Laboratory – iStartLab, and Joana Lobo Antunes, Deputy Director of Marketing and Communications, also attended the meeting and stressed the importance of the work developed by Técnico student groups.
“Técnico is recognised as an entrepreneurial and proactive school largely due to the commitment of our student groups and innovative projects”, said Francisca Simões, who highlighted the restructuring teaching at Técnico from 2021 and the ECT’s for extra-curricular activities.
CA2ECTécnico Award and TecInnov Santander Universities were announced during the meeting. The regulations of the Student Groups Forum and some procedures were also described.
