Técnico startup distinguished by José de Mello Group

Clynx won 1st place of the Grow Innovation Award, amounting to 15 thousand euros.

Clynx – the startup created by four Técnico alumni – won 1st place of the Grow Innovation Award, amounting to 15 thousand euros. The winners were announced at the award ceremony, held last Tuesday, November 16.

The startup that works on Digital Health solutions stood out for creating “customized physiotherapy products”, which allow patients “to perform their therapeutic exercises in a video game environment, thus making the treatment more motivating, digital and interactive”.

Clynx has been making physiotherapy an enjoyable experience by combining technology with gamified approaches. The Motiphy platform can be used in At-home sessions and In-clinic sessions.

In addition to Clynx, 3 more startups (Biosurfit, Matereo and Vialytics) were competing for the 1st and 2nd places. Following the presentation of a pitch by each of the finalist startups, the jury decided to award the first place to Clynx and the second place to Vialytics. The decision of the jury was based on the “intrinsic potential of each startup” and on projects results.

The Grow Innovation Award is an annual initiative supported by the José de Mello Group that aims to promote entrepreneurship.
