Six scientific awards and four honorable mentions were given to Técnico, under the cooperation protocol between ULisboa and Caixa Geral de Depósitos (CGD). There are several awards given annually, which aim to reward scientific research and promote the publication of articles in internationally recognized journals and publishers. The assignment is made in several areas of knowledge and are intended for professors, researchers and postdoctoral fellows from ULisboa. In the 2022 edition, each winner receives a grant of 6,500 euros.
Of the 23 scientific awards gived to the winners, six were awarded to professors and researchers of Técnico:

- Leonel Augusto Pires Seabra de Sousa, Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (DEEC) / Instituto de Engenharia de Sistemas e Computadores (INESC-ID)
- Yordan Ivanov Garbatov, Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering (DEM) / Centre for Marine Technology and Ocean Engineering (CENTEC)
- Maria Cristina Carvalho de Aguiar Câmara, Department of Mathematics (DM) / Center for Computational and Stochastic Mathematics (CEMAT)
Four honorable mentions were also given:
