The University of Lisbon (ULisboa) will open a college at the University of Shanghai with an educational offer of 2nd and 3rd cycles, starting with degrees in civil engineering, environmental engineering and electrotechnical engineering. In 2023, three master’s courses are also expected to be integrated into the same areas of knowledge.

In a first phase, the college will have 900 students, one third of professors from ULisboa, one third of professors from the University of Shanghai and one third recruited internationally.

The classes will be taught in English, with Portuguese as a second language, with a visit and passage through Lisbon, since it’s defined that students attend a part of their cycle of studies in Portugal.

The creation of this college in Shanghai symbolizes an important development in the international affirmation of ULisboa, regarding education.
