The inauguration ceremony of researchers and professors inducted into new career categories and also the admission of new professors, took place this Wednesday, July 14.
The event took place at IST congress centre and was attended by the president of Técnico, professor Rogério Colaço, the president of the Scientific Council (CC), professor Rodrigo Rodrigues, the president of the Pedagogical Council (CP), professor Teresa Peña, Heads of Departments, or their representatives.
“I wish you a very happy life ahead and that you fulfill your duties as professors, researchers and agents of social promotion and technological development in the best possible way”, said professor Teresa Peña.
“We know that you will be very successful in your life and in your scientific career”, stressed professor Rodrigo Rodrigues. “The Scientific Council and the senior faculty members are here to help you and to contribute to your success”, he added.
Professor Rogério Colaço shared a message of hope: “I am convinced that next year we will gradually return to the situation we had before 11th March 2020 ″.
The president of Técnico recalled that the new Teaching Model and Pedagogical Practices (MEPP) that will come into force at Técnico, in the 2021/2022 academic year, was “deeply discussed” and has been drawn up “with the aim of providing our students with the best possible training”. “I am sure that all of you will be up to this challenge, because you are in fact the best professors in the country”.
