New students at Instituto Superior Técnico, Universidade de Lisboa, will begin their journey on 24 August at 9 am by completing their registration online. This registration must be completed by 5 pm on the same day. After completing this step, students are invited to participate in Welcome Week activities, which will take place from 1 to 4 September.
Registration and Signing in
Depending on their enrolment category, students must observe the following enrolment deadlines (from 9 am on the first day to 5 pm on the last day):
- Undergraduate Programmes (National Call): from 24 to 27 August (1st Call)*, from 1 to 3 October (2nd Call)* and from 18 to 20 October (3rd Call)*;
- Undergraduate Programmes (Students Aged Over 23): from 17 to 21 August;
- Undergraduate Programmes (Holders of Middle Level / Higher Education Courses): from 24 to 28 August;
- Undergraduate Programmes (Students Changing Course/Institution): from 24 to 28 August;
- Master’s Programmes: from 24 August to 4 September;
- Undergraduate and Master’s Programmes (International Students): The International Admissions Office will contact the international students to schedule the registration process;
- Mobility Students (incoming): students must complete the registration process after the application has been validated, during the period indicated by the Mobility and International Cooperation Office, according to the specific mobility programme.
Students admitted through the National Call for Public Higher Education (CNAES) must create an online profile in the Connect platform. We recommend performing this process by using the Digital Mobile Key associated with the Citizen Card, so that registration can be completed more simply and autonomously. The Digital Mobile Key can be requested online.
Welcome Week
During Welcome Week, which takes place from 1 to 4 September*, new students will visit the campi and will be welcomed by the Técnico community. Students will have the opportunity to meet their mentor and tutor, their course coordinator, members of the Técnico Students’ Union, the Students’ Organisations, as well as members of the School’s Governing Bodies.
During these days and also on the weekend, the new students will have the opportunity to participate in several cultural activities to get to know the city of Lisbon and their future colleagues.
Family members of new undergraduate students admitted through CNAES will also have the opportunity to participate in a Welcome Session for Families on the day their students are welcomed. The event will take place in the Main Building at 10 a.m. Registration is required.
The welcome activities for students admitted through CNAES 2nd Call take place on 6 and 7 October*. For students admitted through the 3rd Call, the welcome activities will be carried out together with the Student Support Office.
