“These meetings are, above all, a way to further strengthen the relationship between Navigator and Técnico” said the president of Técnico, professor Arlindo Oliveira, at the beginning of the workshop Navigator@Técnico: Industry 4.0, held this Wednesday (July 11). “Besides being good at writing effective scientific papers, we must be able to develop an effective knowledge transfer, and these partnerships will allow that”, stressed the president of Técnico.
According to the Advisor to the Board – Industry 4.0 at the Navigator Company, José Ataíde, “we want to build bridges and create a long-lasting relationship”. “We are very ambitious about this partnership because we are well aware that Técnico students are very talented”, he added. Also professor Paulo Peças, coordinator of this collaboration between Navigator and Técnico, highlighted “the commitment of helping The Navigator Company to become a leading company in Industry 4.0”.
The workshop was divided into two sessions: ‘ICT for Industry 4.0’ and ‘Production – Industry 4.0’. Robotics, Automation, Augmented Reality, Vision / Image Recognition, Additive Manufacturing, Intelligent Systems, Predictive Maintenance, Communication Challenges, IoT Platform, Big Data, Cloud Computing, Business Analytics and Machine Learning were some of the topics addressed during the workshop.
